I went to the doctor Friday & he got to experience the cankles first hand & got a good laugh out of it! Anyway, my BP was fine, but there was a very small amout of protein in my urine, so I got the "take it easy for a week"....that means no work! "Seriously???" I am supposed to keep my feet up as much as possible, but I'm not on total bedrest thank goodness! I was not dilated at all, which is a bummer. I go back to see him this Friday, so we'll see what happens then?My work friends threw a very sweet shower for us Friday. After my appointment, it was definitely what I needed....cake & gifts! :) I really can't tell you how sweet it was of them to do this, especially since I've only known these people for about 6 months! They were super sweet & very generous. I have really made some great friends here & can't tell you how much I appreciate their thoughtfulness.
Last thing.....we found out this week that our Maggie is also pregnant!!!! We got the confirmation U/S on Tuesday & know there are atleast 4 little bulldogs in there! And guess when her c-section is??????? Dec. 12th!! Yep, 4 days after my due date we are having puppies! They should be ready for their new homes right around Valentine's so tell all your friends!! Thank goodness our friend Mandy is going to take them for the first month or so! 
I love this picture of Jimmy & I!! It was just a quick shot since we actually looked half way decent after our very romantic dinner at Waffle House!!! I am on a WH kick lately & all I want is their ham & cheese omelet. This is the 2nd time I've eaten there this week! How sad is that??? Hey, pregnant girls get what they want! :)

The COW, that is! I went for my 28 week appointment today & everything is great, except for the fact that I gained 8 lbs since my last appointment. That means I'm up 23 lbs total! I'm just now starting my 3rd trimester, so how much more am I going to gain??? Holy crap, the thought just scares me! My doctor wasn't the least bit worried, in fact, he laughed at me for complaining about it. Not funny doc! He did give me a hug & told me "you look great, feel great, so don't worry about it." I am going for my glucose tolerance test tomorrow while I'm at work, since it's just across the hall.
Well, after my crappy weight gain news, Jimmy & I decided to play with the camera a little. So, this week's belly shots are more "formal" or not in shorts/t-shirt...but we did have fun. Not only do I feel like a cow after today, but I look like a sway-back horse in the one picture. Nice!

I went to this consignment sale Friday & got some more really cute stuff. I'm telling you, we're going to have to change her clothes 2-3 times a day so she can wear it all! I love it though!!!
I will be 26 weeks Tuesday! I can't believe it??? She is kicking, rolling, punching & doing flips like crazy! I was reading a book the other day & had it sitting on my belly, she kicked & the book moved! It just amazes me how active she is, or maybe I should be scared? Either way, I love it & understand why so many women say they love being pregnant because I do...if only I could erase those first 12 weeks of horrible nausea.

Ok, now to our other "kids." Maggie is not the easiest one to get outside at night because she's just lazy! About a week ago, after making her go out at night, we couldn't get her to come back in...which is VERY rare for her. She was sitting on the porch or in the grass, just staring at the woods & the ground?? No barking, no nothing, just very focused on something? This happened several nights in a row, until we finally figured out what she was doing.......she's watching FROGS! We went out with a flashlight & finally saw what she was seeing. She doesn't chase them or anything, just watches & will NOT take her eyes off them. It's been going on now for a little over a week & she is now our "frog hunter." The other pic is how I found all of them before work one morning....pretty sweet. Then, of course, a new Miley pic too!

Mandy went out of town, so I brought Mama & babies to our house for the night. Bulldogs can't stay with their puppies at first b/c they will roll over on them & squish 'em....SO every 4 hours you have to give the pups to Mama to nurse. These babies are 2 weeks old tomorrow so they look like little moles, but they are sooo cute!
I went for my 20 week appointment today with my new doctor here in AR & it couldn't have gone any better! I can't believe I'm already at the halfway mark?? It really does fly by, just like everyone says. I think we are both going to really like him, he's pretty cool, laid back & seems to have a good personality. He is so cool, in fact, that he didn't even charge me for the appointment today since our insurance doesn't kick in here until Aug. 1st! How awesome is that?? I had only met him once at work before today & it was brief. I had asked around at work about who is the best OB around here & the majority said Dr. Cole, so that's how I found him....it's always nice to be a nurse when it comes to stuff like that, because you get the inside scoop on all the docs! 
He did the "official" ultrasound & everything looked great! We didn't tell him we already knew it's a girl, so we just acted surprised & played along...Jimmy wasn't quite as disappointed this time. Poor guy, he really wanted a boy, but he is very excited about "his" little girl now! He did move my due date to Dec. 9th, instead of the 8th? No big change. The absolute WORST part of today was getting on that dang scale! I was dreading it because I had to switch scales from my original weights with my doc, so of course, it was waaaaay more than I liked. It said I have gained 12 lbs!??? Holy moly! How in the world did I gain 12 lbs in a month?? The nurse did say it weighed 4 lbs heavy, so that's a little better, but still!!!! I'm going to weigh in TN the next time I'm home & just see how much I've REALLY gained!! 
I started working yesterday (Monday) at my new job, so I got to ask about who the good docs are here & everyone basically said the same guy over & over...SO, I have found a new doctor. I'll be going for the big ultrasound in 3 weeks! I can't wait to see what it is!!! Jimmy just said tonight, "we really need to start talking about names".....so, guess we'll be throwing out some names to ya here pretty soon! We have decided on Grace as the middle name if it's a girl because both of his grandmothers' names were Grace & we love it! I think it is such a sweet, southern name, but I wish it wasn't so popular right now. We really don't care since it means something to us.
Oh, let me tell ya about my 1st day getting ready for work................ I get up, let the dogs out, brush my toofers, & head to the shower (it's only a shower, no tub). No big deal right? Well, I step in the shower & BAM!!! My feet fly right out from under me & I land flat on my back on the lip of the shower right on my low back! Of course, it scared the absolute dog crap out of me & then I thought about how bad it's going to hurt later. That was yesterday & no problems so far & I'm just sore thank goodness! I think I went to the bathroom a million times yesterday just to make sure I wasn't spotting or anything, but nothing. I have never done that, but it really scared me being preggo & all. Fun start to my 1st day at work!

It's really cool to be able to actually see a difference & it's not just looking like my college beer belly! I can tell, mostly in the afternoon & night when I'm all bloated after eating all day. The appetite is definitely back! I have been craving sweets like crazy the past week...I normally just eat some every now & then, but now it's every single day! I have already made cookies (twice) & cupcakes since we moved 5 days ago! I am just giving the baby what it wants! :) I go back to my next appointment the 23rd, so I'll have more then.Our other big news is the move to AR. We got here early (3am) Tuesday & have been unpacking/organizing since. We are not in a subdivision (YYYAAAAAAYY), so we don't have any neighbors, which we LOVE! This house is older & very outdated on the inside, but we are adding our touch to bring it up to par. It wasn't cleaned up very well, so we are having to do a lot of that too...which we didn't expect. The back yard part is the worst, but it's getting there. I have lots of pics of the house & I'll add more as we get our stuff put out.
We have lovely wood panel walls mostly in the house, but some parts aren't, thank goodness! You have to notice the "pink room" with the pink walls, pink 1970's curtains, heart border & pinkish red carpet! Then we have a "blue room" with blue carpet & blue valances! We figured we're set either way if we have a girl or boy! Ha!! The kitchen is very nice & my favorite place in the whole house! We have 2 1/2 baths, but they are weird too...the master is the half bath?? The hall bath has a jacuzzi tub & double sinks & the one off the garage has a shower? I don't get how they designed those at all? It's workable though, or atleast we are making it! We really do love the house for many other reasons: it's one level, has about 2 acres, & no neighbors!
Changing the subject....I go for my 2nd OB visit tomorrow so please say some prayers for me! I have been extremely nauseous, peeing a lot & my boobs are growing like crazy but I'm still really nervous about making it through this 1st trimester. I will be blogging again after tomorrow, so pray for good news!!!
