All I want for Christmas is.........

To see my ankle bones again!!! OMG I have never had cankles (when there's no distinction between your calves & ankles) like I do now, nor do I like them!!! My toes look like little vienna weenies to match...I'm getting a pedicure this week, so atleast they will look like cute weenies. Oh, and I have pitting edema, which means when you push down on the area, it leaves an indention. Not cool! My calves & legs have also been swelling on the days I work. Here's the proof, but this really doesn't show how bad they are.......I promise there are bones under all that! I went to the doctor Friday & he got to experience the cankles first hand & got a good laugh out of it! Anyway, my BP was fine, but there was a very small amout of protein in my urine, so I got the "take it easy for a week"....that means no work! "Seriously???" I am supposed to keep my feet up as much as possible, but I'm not on total bedrest thank goodness! I was not dilated at all, which is a bummer. I go back to see him this Friday, so we'll see what happens then?

My work friends threw a very sweet shower for us Friday. After my appointment, it was definitely what I needed....cake & gifts! :) I really can't tell you how sweet it was of them to do this, especially since I've only known these people for about 6 months! They were super sweet & very generous. I have really made some great friends here & can't tell you how much I appreciate their thoughtfulness.

Last thing.....we found out this week that our Maggie is also pregnant!!!! We got the confirmation U/S on Tuesday & know there are atleast 4 little bulldogs in there! And guess when her c-section is??????? Dec. 12th!! Yep, 4 days after my due date we are having puppies! They should be ready for their new homes right around Valentine's so tell all your friends!! Thank goodness our friend Mandy is going to take them for the first month or so!

Just a quick post with a couple pics......I'll post more later in the week after my doctor's appt. Friday! The girls at work are having a shower on Friday too, so I'll be back!!! :)

I love this picture of Jimmy & I!! It was just a quick shot since we actually looked half way decent after our very romantic dinner at Waffle House!!! I am on a WH kick lately & all I want is their ham & cheese omelet. This is the 2nd time I've eaten there this week! How sad is that??? Hey, pregnant girls get what they want! :)

The countdown is on!

I am 35 weeks!! Woo Hoo! She is kicking & moving a LOT! What's new? She's definitely been active & my ribs can tell you! I feel like I'm being beat up from the inside! I think I have said this in several posts, but I can't believe how fast time is going by! We are only 5 weeks away from meeting our baby girl??? WOW!! Jimmy & I are getting more excited everyday & we talk about her being here a LOT now. We are getting things organized, put together, put away & making room for all the new stuff, etc. It's been a mess around here, but we both got a LOT done today. We are only waiting for a few more things to be delivered & her room will be complete...I promise to post pics once it's done.

I went to the doctor today & little miss Finley weighs about 5 lbs 13 oz already! That was a shocker to me...I just wasn't ready to hear she's already almost 6 lbs!! OMG!! He said she's measuring just a little ahead, but otherwise right on track. He also said he will start checking me next week & then we can talk about possibly inducing me! YAY!! He knows I really want to be induced, so my family can plan to be here vs me calling in the middle of the night saying I'm in labor & they are all 6 hrs away! I'm hoping for the week after Thanksgiving, which is only 1 week early. I have tried to think of the best birthday for her, if I have a choice, between two major holidays???? The main thing is that she is ready & healthy! We are ready to meet her & see her....I think? :)
